My husband restored a 1950 Chevy pickup truck a few years ago. He was needing some parts and a consultation with one of the Northeast's leading Advanced Design experts, who happens to be in Stephentown, NY, about 40 miles from our house in Massachusetts. I went along for the ride and while the two of them were deep in the minutiae of brakes and radiators, I found myself entranced with the "Field of Dreams" out back—several acres of rusting old Chevy trucks. From photos taken on that and another visit, I happily painted rusting metal and the distinctive high hood for many months.
